Postfix: Address Rewriting

    I need to rewrite an address. I did notice I can configure Postfix to do so.

    I would like to know what is the best way to accomplish this in such a way that this change "survives" updates?
    I couldn't find an option in ISPConfig to accomplish this. I can add this manually to Postfix, but I assume this change will not survive an update of eg ISPConfig.

    What's the purpose you want to accomplish behind this question?

    If it's as simple as just rewriting the sender address of a send mail you can use what you've found at Postfix.
    As it's non ISPConfig functionality it should survive updates.

    If it's about rewriting sender addresses of forwarded mail and thereby preventing spf failures have a look at these two posts:
