I have been looking for a way to be able use Code: smtpd_sasl_authenticated_header = yes in my postfix main.cf, but instead of displaying the actual user name say "web1_user1" I would like it to display the users email address "[email protected]" in the header. Is their anyway of accomplishing this? I have googled the subject and read quite a bit but never really found anything other then what I already know or I have completely over looked it.
I don't think this is possible (unless you use a virtual setup where username = email address) because a user can have multiple email addresses (using aliases).
