Postfix+Dovecot+MySQL+postfixadmin on SuSE10.1 (Please Help)

    I am trying to setup Postfix+Dovecot+MySQL+postfixadmin on SuSE10.1.
    All how to's and documents are not for SuSE and I am having hard time doing this for a month now. Could someone show me a direction?
    I have been trying all the how to's and Readme's from all over the sources.
    It just don't seem to work for me to copying and pasting those docs.
    I also tried Postfix+CourierIMAP+MySQL. But I couldn't find the package for
    Courier-Imap-MySQL. So I gave up.
    Is there a magic tutorials that I can follow and get the server up and
    Every documents and people suggested to create user postfix and postdrop.
    But SuSE has maildrop user already and it is just confusing what to do.
    I just used postfix and maildrop as user to make virtual setting in
    I am at the stage that my outlook client cannot authenticate with the
    When I check /var/log/mail :
    I see SASL LOGIN authentication failed: authentication failure
    And for /var/log/messages :
    postfix/smtpd[5127]: sql auxprop using mysql engine
    postfix/smtpd[5127]: sql plugin Parse the username [email protected]
    postfix/smtpd[5127]: sql plugin try and connect to a host
    postfix/smtpd[5127]: sql plugin trying to open db ' ' on host 'localhost'
    postfix/smtpd[5127]: sql plugin could not connect to host localhost
    postfix/smtpd[5127]: sql plugin couldn't connect to any host

    I wish I could get any paid support from someone who can help me.

    Maybe switching the Distro

    I may switch the distro to Redhat ... Fedora Core 5....
    No luck on SuSE :mad:
