Postfix, mail queue time to live

Hi

I see that outgoing emails that can not be delivered for different reasons from my server, may sit in the queue for several days before postfix gives up, and sends error notice to sender.
How can I set a time limit for how long the server shuld try to deliver the message?

 

maximal_queue_lifetime
Default value is 5d

so:
