Hi, After doing lots of troubleshooting using this message board I now have my email working. Well mostly. I originally had maildir turned off (default I beleive). I could send emails to the ispconfig server but could not check email. I enabled maildir and I can now check my email and send. Is this something I should be concerned about? Right now it appears to be working. A few test messages I have sent back and forth from my old server are working. What would be the pros/cons of maildir vs mbox? Thx.
Mbox is the "old" foramt, Maildir is better and faster. Most pop3 and imap daemons are only capable of either mbox or maildir. The ISPConfig installer does not know if your pop3 demon supports maildir, so you must always enable maildir manually if you run courier, dovecot or cyrus. I recommend to use laways maildir.
