Hi There, I am looking for a mail relay howto guide which I can use to setup a stand alone postfix server. The purpose of this server is to send all mail from our mail shared hosting server through this machine to stop getting bulk sender blacklisted. We do alot of mailouts to our list of subscribers and it slows down the shared hosting server as well as gets that machine blocked several times per year. If someone knows of a howto guide that would be great. We dont need spam filtering or anything special at all. Just a postfix machine that allows mail from one other single IP address, but denys all other mail. Thanks heaps! Cheers, MSAnders
The perfect server and postfix guides here are good for this. In postfix, make sure your network is in the mynetworks= parameter and you'd be almost ready to go.
I was looking for something like this, but this isn't for centos. http://www.howtoforge.com/arch-linux-mailserver-with-postfix-and-dovecot I dont even need dovecot or spamassassin. Does this mean I could just skip those steps?
Install the complete email section of this tutorial + apache and php for the controlpanel: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-centos-5.5-x86_64-ispconfig-3 Then install ispconfig in expert mode and select to configure only email.
