    Hi Guys.

I am new to linux and have a kolab mail server that is running Ubuntu 10. I tried running the kolab services as well as postfix but now, outgoing mails are not moving. and incoming mail from selected domains are coming in while others are not.

Below is an extract of /var/log/mail.log

Have you tried to reboot the system?

Do you have working nameservers in /etc/resolv.conf?

    Thanks Falko.

Ya, had tried rebooting the system and stuff but the problem persisted. Tried rechecking my postfix/main.cf and everything looked ok. But i eventually bumped into somethng that i would like to fool myself into believing it sorted out thngs... got these commands from one websie...

    # sudo chmod -R 755 /var/spool/postfix
    # sudo chmod 1733 /var/spool/postfix/maildrop

so i did made a backup of the postfix folder and ran the two commands and ya, it worked. mail started moving again. Realised i had deleted one file...
    /var/lib/postfix/master.lock

i dont know of how much importance is that file, coz i didnt back it up.
