Does that master.cf now correspond to the configuration in Perfect Server Guide for your OS and web server (which you do not reveal). Is this part of multiserver setup? Did you change the hosts mysql user? Did you reboot the host to make sure all services are running with the new hostname? Please post the full error lines from mail.log file and check your email client to ensure that you really enabled smtp authentication when sending emails.
