I've been trying to setup Postfix on my server for this computer lab for 1 week now. I installed it on ubuntu 14.04 LTS, I did the apt-get postfix and configured it for the internet site, I also installed dovecot and configured it to. When I send mail to a user on the same computer, it gets it fine, but I cannot send to any other computer on LAN. But I know the server can see it because I can ping all their hostnames. I'm not using DNS or anything, just the basic postfix installation. Any help is greatly needed. I am desperate, I have tried on Ubuntu, Gentoo, and Arch forums with no one being able to help me. I really need help. Any resolution would be greatly appreciated:eek:

    Hi

Which guide you have implemented to install the server?

Check the status of ufw & IPtables. May be they will be blocking the communication.

I don't have iptables setup yet. I'm trying it out before deploying for real.
