   hi there,
   is it possible to setup ISPConfig so that it runs behind a firewall and has the necessary ports forwarded to it?
   
   i know that with at least one other similar product (ispCP), the server that is running it need to have an interface assigned an external IP.

   Sure, why not? It does not matter for ispconfig if you use a internal or external IP address.
