Pre-installed firewall?

    Greetings folks!

    Im wondering if there is anyway I can be 100% that my 53 TCP/UDP open?

    I rent a dedicated server and centos was kindof preinstalled. I have installed ispconfig and all that and everything works fine exept it dosent respond to requests on the DNS and it is up'n'running... what can be blobking it? iptables is off.

    Some useful tests:

    - Check the firewall of ispconfig.
    - Check if dns server is listening with netstat -tulpena
    - Try to restart dns server daemon
    - Try some telnet to your public ip address to the port 53
