When I create email account, User Name has something like web2_ web3_. Can I create them without it?

You can create them without the prefix, but it is highly recommended to not do this as usernames have to be unique on the server. So if you deactivate the prefix, you can e.g. have only one user named admin for all wensites or one user named info etc.

Sorry, I don't want to compare to cPanel but how they do it. We can create [email protected] with user name = admin without any conflict.

Can we just create email account that doesn't come with ftp account and linux user. So it won't conflict.

can we use dynamic prefix like %user%+username. example: [email protected] with username john_admin.

They do it with virtual users and ISPConfig 3 is it doing like that too. ISPConfig 2 is using linux system users. So if you need virtual users, use ispconfig 2 and not ispconfig 2.

I used to install ISPConfig 3 in Ubuntu but it work so bad. When I create website. It only create website but doesn't create directory for websites. There is problem with DNS too. It have a lot of bugs. Also no documents. That's why I change to ISPConfig 2.

Will you create update script for ISPConfig 2 to fix this problem?

ISPConfig 3 works pretty well, I uses it on several of my servers too and it always created the directorys of the websites on my systems. There are also no known DNS probems. So either you used a very old beta version of ISPConfig 3 or your system was not properly installed.

By the way, there are > 15 000 ISPConfig 3 installations out there. So if ISPConfig 3 does not worked on your system caused by a configuration problem of your server you can not generalize this.

This is no problem bug, it is the way ispconfig 2 and linux system users work and it is exactly intnded to work like this. If you want virtual users, use ispconfig 3.

Well, that is the best. Anyways, Can I change prefix web2_ web3_ to dynamic name of the users? example: customer1_admin. Can replace something like %users%_.

All available prefixes are listed in the FAQ article, there are no others.
