Have a customer who is using Office 365 Outlook on a Mac as a client to connect to my server. Getting an error like 'No authentication protocol was available' or something similar. I am not using SSL on this server and using ports 143 and 578 for outgoing. Incoming works but outgoing fails every time. Other MAC clients and Mac mail works fine, but customer insists on using this Office 365 Outlook on her Mac. I have never run into this before so not sure what to do. Don't see any place in setting to set up STARTTLS or anything else and was wondering if anyone else out there has run into something similar with this product. Running ver 3.1.13 but will be upgrading to 3.2 soon

Ensure that's actually port 587 (and you could try 465). Other than that, I have no idea/experience there.

Typo, meant 587. Can I use port 465 without using SSL? That mail server does not have a certificate yet. Thx.

No, 465 requires ssl, and I thought 587 required tls, too.

Did not see an option to include TLS. Maybe thats why it says no valid authentication.
