Problem in compiling the kernel on SuSE 10.1

    Following error occured after compiling and rebooting the machine;

    " filesystem type is reiserfs,partition type 0x83
    kernel/boot/vmlinux 2.6.16.13-4-default root = /dev/hdb7
    resume = /dev/hdb6 splash = silent
    error13 : invalid or unsupported executable format
