Hi everyone!! Im new to ispC3 Im lost, i will appreciate a lot the help. It start time ago, i asked myself "why not ?" So i hired 2 ip from my isp. IP1 IP2 Things that i have? *domain.com with my own ns's *ns's on my server using ns.domain.com *domain added on ispC3 Then i thougt about using ispC to test my servers has ISP. I bought a domain and i load my own NS with this tutorial: http://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-run-your-own-name-server-with-ispconfig-3-and-fast-hosts Now... when i try to browse my www.domain.com it doesnt reach my server. I have it added in Websites... but nothing Do i need something else and i dont know ? Thanks guys! Sorry my english _______________________________________________________________ Some tests that i'be made, my network (that is outside my servers network) (nslookup) Non-authoritative answer: Name: ns1.aycral.com Address: 190.93.208.79 Friend's network test (ping/nslookup): ns time out
Do you use the dns server from ispconfig? Ifyes, then ensure that you added A-records for: ns1.aycral.com. ns2.aycral.com. as well pointing to the IP address of your primary and secondary dns server. You can check your dns records with e.g. http://www.intodns.com
Primary/Secondary DNS ? I use my dns from ISP internet provider. A aycral.com. xx.xx.xx.xx1 0 A mail xx.xx.xx.xx1 0 A ns1 xx.xx.xx.xx1 0 A ns2 xx.xx.xx.xx2 0 A www xx.xx.xx.xx1 0 CNAME pop3 mail.aycral.com 0 MX aycral.com. mail.aycral.com. 10 NS aycral.com. ns1.aycral.com. 0 NS aycral.com. ns2.aycral.com. 0 Some friends if "nslookup" aycral.com gets my NS's others get "time out" i have not idea what it could be.... if i enter ns1/ns2.aycral.com i reach my servers...but it takes too much time. I have 2 optic fibers lines with 6mb/s symmetric and 2 ips + 1 domain.
The problems are your dns records. PLease check and correct them with intodns as I suggested above. Intodns gives you much more details and hints then nslookup.
Into DNS throw me a lot of errors lol, like this: 1.-Mismatched NS records 2.-DNS servers responded (ERROR: One or more of your nameservers did not respond: The ones that did not respond are: xx.xx.xx.xx1/2) 3.-Multiple Nameservers (You should already know that your NS records at your nameservers are missing, so here it is again: ) 4.- SOA record No valid SOA record came back! 5.- MX Records Oh well, I did not detect any MX records so you probably don't have any and if you know you should have then they may be missing at your nameservers! 6.- WWW A Record ERROR: I could not get any A records for www.aycral.com! (I only do a cache request, if you recently added a WWW A record, it might not show up here.) :S you are talking about my local DNS ? the one that my isp gives me ? what should i do?
Good news and Bad news: I told a friend to change his DNS to OpenDns and guess what ? it works with those DNS's. Now... with Open DNS (from the client side) it works But... Into DNS throws me a lot of errors (like the ones that i post UP this reply). Third and last, i dont know how to point to Dns like you told me. Its the nameservers configuration on "System" button panel ? or... /etc/network/interfaces ?? you are talking about that ?. Thanks
