Yesterday I added a new Mail Domain and after that 1 single Mail Account. As I finish typing the new mail account settings and hit save, at the next screen were only this single mail account, all other were disappeared and not came back. The Mail-Server and all Mail Accounts just working fine and I could send and receive mails with no problems. What the hell were going on that all that listed Mail Accounts were gone? And before someone tell's that I was press delete or some like that, as was happen in the past with the Server Records, that wasn't happen at all. Since that problem, were the Server Record disappeared while adding new Port's to the ISPC Firewall, I'm very cautious with anything in ISPC! Is there any way, other than re-add the mail accounts, to get the account data back on list? Thanks a lot.
If the email accounts are working, then they must be there in the database. maybe you applied a fileter on the list. Logout from ispconfig, close the web brower, open it again and then login again.
Thanks Till. Done that since yesterday several times and the Accounts still not showing up again. I also didn't created any filter!! As I wrote, I just added 1 Mail Domain and than 1 Mail Account, nothing more! After the Mail Account was added, the "old" Mail Accounts were disappeared. And believe me, since the problem with the Server Record missing, I'm more than carefully what I'm doing!
Maybe you have really a haedware problem or your mysql database is broken, so that it looses data. Take a look into the dbispconfig mysql database with phpmyadmin and there in the mail_user table, does all mail users are listed there?
I don't think that there's any Hardware problem! The HDD was new as I installed the Server from zero again after the Server Record problem! I also used the latest Debian 7.3! Checked the Database and all Mail Accounts are there, nothing missed. All just looks fine at the User Table!
Also, under the Home Tap of ISPC all Mail Accounts are shown in Mailbox Quota. Mail is just working well for sending and receiving, no problem with that. Webmail from within the browser using the Mail domain/webmail, just works totally normal! Only all mail accounts are missing under the Email Mailbox tap: Only that mail account, which I lastly created is still there as I wrote in earlier post.
You applied a filter like I guessed, and thats why you see only one account. See filter bar, you entered a value in email field, realname field and in Autoresponder field. so you see currently onle these records that match your filter criteria which is exactly one email address. so empty the realname field, the email field and the autoresponder field and then click on the filter icon to apply the changed filter.
If that is the Filter entry, Why it's not signed as such? And how it come that the e-mail account I lastly added was showing up there? I used the Tap Add new Mailbox, added the Mail Account data and saved. That's all! Nothing more! I didn't entered any filter nor Autoresponder. How that was happen? As wrote above, it may would be a good idea to lable that yellow box as Filterbox?! Thanks anyway and good night, it's 0:30 already in Thailand.
Input fields in the header of a list are normally filters, thats not just in ispconfig the case. Especially when there is a filter icon in the same row. I'am not working on your pc, so I cant tell you. Just a guess, maybe you use some kind of form auto fill addon in your browser and that filled in the data? I know that your actions are never related to anything that is inserted, updated, deleted or altered in any kind on your server, so no need to repeat that all the time
That's something new for me and I even didn't had read aboput that in the already outdated manual for ISPC which is now a year old already! OK, that could maybe the reason while I'm using Google Chrome. But that normally works for username and passwords only. Otherwise I didn't use any autofiller apps. To repeat what steps I'd done upfront and occurred error isn't useful? And that also applies sometimes to re-write what were done!
The manual is up to date. A new manual gets released for each major version as major versions brings new functions which have to be documented and described in the manual. The current manual is for ISPConfig 3.0.5 and the current version of ispconfig is 3.0.5.3. I marked the major version for you in bold letters so you can see the manual is up to date, the .3 at the end is the minor patch release number. A minor patch releases conatins bugfixes and not new features and a bugfix is nothing that can be described in the manual as it neither changes the visual experience of a form nor it changes the intended behaviour of the function that is described in the manual.
