hi guys can anyone help me on that. i just installed my web server on fédora 11 64bit and i was trying to install also an ftp but thing is that it just won't work properly. i'vze followed one of your tutorial http://www.howtoforge.com/virtual-hosting-with-pureftpd-and-mysql-incl-quota-and-bandwidth-management-on-fedora-11 BTW it was great an ftp with quota but i just can't login as a specific user. i mean the annonymous connection is allowed but the autentified user just won't work. can anyone help me on that. i''l put some screenshots if i was too confusing...
If you did EXACLTY what is told you in the HOW-TO everything will work as it should, so you probably missed something from the HOW-TO. You can check the log files in /var/log/ to see if pureFTPd writes any errors.
i'll check the logs but each time i try to log i as a valid user i got ths as error message: Whereas for an annomymous connection it works fine
