    Hi,

Could someone assist me. When I try and do a dig -x 196.x.x.x on the localhost it returns all the domain records, but when I do it from any remote system it cannot find the reverse dns records for my domain.

I have looked in the /etc/bind inside pri.x.x.196.in-addr.arpa file.

it gives me the correct IP and FQDN for my DNS records.

    Any idea?

    Thanks

you need to ask to your hosting, PTR informations added by ispconfig are useless if you don't have the direct management of the IP addresses bloc
