Linux is Fedora Core 7, SATA drives with motherboard (MSI PM8PM-V) raid controller. Never installed any drivers for Linux for this as it saw the drives. Worked fine for couple of months, but now am getting error message all the time. any ideas? Thanks john
Take a look at your SATA and power cables whether they are connected proper. If you have replacements you should try them too - even if the others looking good. Olli
Olie, I did just that before posting and it seems to have corrected the problem. I moved one of the drives up and away from the other and reconnected. No more errors as of yet, Thanks for posting.
Just an Update. It seems my SATA errors were caused because of using STARTX to load the gui interface. Since I last posted, I have not used STARTX and no more errors have surfaced on the box.
