    Hi guys,

I have a problem with the virtual users and their mailboxes.

When some user reach the quota limit for example 500MB, this user cannot receive emails, but he can send emails.

In a few words the user [email protected] reach 500MB ok?
The user of [email protected] cannot receive any mail but if the user wants send any email he can send mails without problem.

    somebody knows why?
Someboy can help me??? please guys! please Falko, please till

In a logical situation when the user reached the mailbox limit, the user cannot send/receive any email.
    That's right?

    Please help me...

Why shouldn't he be able to send mails? Sending mails doesn't affect his quota.

The quota is a disk storage quota, this is the amount of emails on the harddisk. It is not a traffic quota limit tat limits the amount a user can send.

smtp and pop3/imap is handled on a linux server by different software (sending = postfix) and (pop3/imap either dovecot or courier), The email quota is the quota of the pop3/imap damon, so it can not affect postfix.

To sum it up, you can not easily block postfix for sending when the harddisk quota for email in dovecot is reached and this does not make sense anyway as the quota is a harddik quota and not a traffic quota. So I guess you might mix up traffic and disk quota here. A traffic quota for email is not available in ISPConfig.
