Since i've installed ISPConfig, everytime I connect to FTP via Proftpd, the connection timeouts very fast.. about 5mins. The values in proftpd.conf, are setted to 3600, but this doesn't seem to have any effect. And there are no additional settings for this in proftpd_ispconfig.conf. Where else can I check?
Did you restart proftpd after changing the configuration? Check also the proftpd manual or manpage, if there are any additional settings for timeouts that are not set.
i've been looking through manual, and there are no other settings then in proftpd.conf.. Ofcourse, i restarted proftpd.. Strange indeed
Is it possible that Proftpd was restarted while you were connected to it, maybe because you changed something in ISPConfig at the same time? That would explain why you lost the connection.
