Hi all, I followed these howto:

1 The Perfect Server - Debian Lenny (Debian 5.0) With BIND & Dovecot [ISPConfig 3]

2 How To Run Your Own Name Server With ISPConfig 3 And Fast Hosts

About the second howto I'd like to configure my own name server but I have some doubts:

I have 1 static ip address (public) assigned me from my isp to the wan interface of my router. On my lan I have a Debian server with a private IP address of 192.168.1.102. Can I make it working my own name server (howto 2) anyway?

I hope I made myself clear

    Thanks

Yes, but probably you can run just one nameserver because most registrars don't accept two nameservers with the same IP. That means you will have to host a secondary nameserver somewhere else (or pay someone to do it).
