PUREFTPD Setting up!

Hello fellows! one more problem, yesterday I set my ftpd server after this tuturial
It seems to be all ok, but when I try to connect through ftp clietn (Filezilla), I'm getting the error:
530 login authentification failed,
It seems the problem is in password... cause the previous status line says:
331 User slash OK. Password required
PASS****
530 login authentification failed


But the password is ok.. I reentered it again in phpmyadmin with the MD5 encryption.. please help me to solve this problem. Thx!

 

Did you try both active and passive transfers in your FTP client?

Are there any errors in your logs?
Is this a physical server or a virtual machine? If it's a virtual machine, what virtualization technique (OpenVZ/Virtuozzo, Xen, KVM, VMware, etc.) do you use?

 

I had the same problem, i fixed it by restarting the pure-ftpd service.

/etc/init.d/pure-ftpd restart
