The Perfect Server - Debian Wheezy (Apache2, BIND, Dovecot, ISPConfig 3 I am setting this up but I do not have a true static IP address. I have an IP say 192.168.0.99 for my mail server. I was wondering if I could install all as usual or do I need to change something because of the lack of real static IP address. Also could I just disable Bind 9 since my firewall handles each and every request and then it delivers the mail to the mail server. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
If you dont have a static IP, then your server is most likely behind a router (NAT)? In this case you use a internal IP for the server and let the router do the translation between the IP addresses. You can disable bind.
