I would like to do: I need to increse the size of hard drive space on a vm. What I did: I downloaded and installed vmware server on a windows pc. Then created a "prefect server centos 5.4" system. I only allocated a 50Gig virtual hard drive. I zipped up the vm and saved it. Now I need to use this vm of centos 5.4 but I want a lot more space because the physical machine I am installing on is in the Tera range. I unzipped the vm and then converted to an ESXi server using the converter and so it sits nicely on this server but still..it is only 50G. Can anyone answer if there is a way to increase the vm hard-drive space and if there is, how would quotas work after that? Thanks happZ
Ehmmm .. make a backup of your VMware disc, grow the disc, then boot from a liveCD into the VM and resize the partition?
