I posted before about no panel with my Mandriva 2009 clean install. According to what I saw on the Mandriva forum I have the KDE version is why my desktop doesn't have the top panel or look like the desktop on your how to for the perfect desktop for Mandriva 2009. How can I change this to Gnome? I haven't done anything since I got to the end of your first page and found out I was in KDE.

I think you can go to the Control Center and install GNOME. But if you've just set up the system and there's no important data on it, I'd set it up again from scratch, this time with the GNOME CD.

Thank you, I down loaded the Gnome version last night. I guess I got on too much of a hurry the first time. I will install the Gnome after I send this.
