    Howdy,

I just came from the "Perfect" Cent OS Server Setup page and want to install ISPConfig. Before I do, I wanted to double check something:

I'm setting up the server at home and will ship it out to the CoLo center in a few days. Knowing that the IP address will change from one assigned to my internal router (192.168.1.xxx) to one that the CoLO will give me, is it OK to install ISPConfig now? Can I change the IP later without hosing the ISPConfig install?

Also - the article didn't get into setting up iptables. Does ISPConfig do that durring setup, or do I still need to do it on my own.

    Thanks in advance!

ISPConfig comes with a firewall that you can manage under Management > Server > Services.

    Chris,
You can config/roll out ISPConfig from home, but to save yourself work, I'd just configure with an address from the block your ISP/colo gave you from the get go.

The firewall piece of ISPConfig let's you do the basics with IPTables, so if you're going to want to get more granular with your policies, you'll probably want to manage them from the shell... (I do it via a shell)
