I'm mounting /var/www from my storage server to /var/www on the other nodes in my cluster via NFS. I've got quota installed and running on the disk, but ISPConfig seems unable to read the quota information as the "website harddisk quota" reads "unlimited" in the hard and soft limits for all of them. Now, the quota files - quota.user and quota.group - are at the root of the disk and the mount is /var/www, so I'm guessing that maybe the issue is that it can't "see" the quota files, perhaps? Or does NFS(v4) need to be tweaked to deliver this information? Or do I need to specify particular options in /etc/fstab on the client mounts to let it know that quota is in operation? Basically, I don't know quota well enough to understand why this is happening and need help understanding how I should configure this for the quotas to be visible and working on the NFS clients as well.
Maybe this thread helps you: https://www.howtoforge.com/community/threads/enabling-quota-on-nfs-mounted-drives.15947/ The thread is about ISPConfig 2, but this should nt matter for NFS mounting.
