I'm receiving a mail about one of my users like this: Some Users/Groups Are Near Or Already Over Their Quota Limit .... I've been searching on this site and yes, there's a problem in /tmp. There's a directory called /tmp/clamav-656eca0faf317851963e0b0479e0f492 with 11MB inside, owned by this user. Why is this there? Can I safely remove the complete directory? Can I prevent getting a directory like this, even for other users? thanks.
To prevent this problem in future, please have a look here: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24065&highlight=clamdscan
I've been reading this sollution but here's where I got stuck: Also edit ispconfig startup file /etc/init.d/ispconfig_server and comment out freshclam startup/shutdown lines and use your distribution freshclamd daemon. I don't have freshclam on my Debian system. Do I have to install it or do I have to use the ispconfig tool? # locate freshclam /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/tools/clamav/bin/freshclam /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/tools/clamav/etc/freshclam.conf /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/tools/clamav/share/man/man1/freshclam.1 /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/tools/clamav/share/man/man5/freshclam.conf.5
Yes, freshclam should be installed, otherwise the clamav database will not get updated. Run: apt-get search freshclam and install the package that gets listed, it is named clamav-freshclam or similar.
