I'm trying to install Ubuntu on my 2 harddrives on à raid 1 setup. I know that ubuntu has à software raid option. However i get a error after THE setup that it is missing all kind of moint stuff. This probably has to do with THE mainboard software raid setup. i have an Intel se7230nh1-e with an embedded raid config utility 5.31. In my bios i can choose raid or ide for my harddrives. Of i setup raid and i go to THE raid setup menu i cannot make non-raid drives. Anyone knows how to properlu setup THE bios and mainboard raid controller so that it works properly with u ubuntu?
If you want to use software RAID, you can ignore the hardware RAID settings in your BIOS and on your mainboard. Maybe it's better to switch them off.
