Hi Guys, I have adaptec 2405 raid card and was going through the documentation which says that a floppy disk is required to install and use the raid drivers. I will be creating a raid 10 bootable array on 4 drives. Since this is my first time dealing with raid, can some please tell me if I can install the raid drivers using usb flash drive as I don't have any floppy drive sitting around plus the mother board also doesn't have the floppy controller. This will be installed on CENTOS 5 or Fedora Core. Thx in advance
Why not use the new Centos6 ? The 2405 should be in the kernel already! The card is pretty old, so it should be detected during the installation process.
