I am going to re-install my remote server in the new year with Ubuntu 9.10 using The Perfect Server - Ubuntu Karmic Koala (Ubuntu 9.10) [ISPConfig 2]

As I dont have access to this server directly I can not carry out the first 2 pages of that tutorial. What would the ideal setup for raid be? I can either let the software loader install the default Ubuntu setup, which ends up not matching falco's tut. I can access the setup and set the partitions manually tho. But am not sure as to what. There are 2 1Tb hard drives.

    Any help/advice appreciated.

    Current setup is:

    Disk1: /dev/sda
    /dev/sda1 ext3 / 9.77Gb boot, raid
    /dev/sda2 ext3 /home raid
    /dev/sda3 linux swap 512.22Mb
    Disk2: /dev/sdb
    /dev/sdb1 ext3 / 9.77Gb boot, raid
    /dev/sdb2 ext3 /home raid
    /dev/sdb3 linux swap 512.22Mb

It is currently mirrored raid,I think, but I would like to have full use of all 2Tb to have an archive file section etc

You can either replace the /home partition with a /var partition, or you just use one big / partition and swap, no other partitions.
