Recompiling PHP5 with GD On Ubuntu

    So I ran through this HOWTO:

    Recompiling PHP5 With Bundled Support For GD On Ubuntu

    And I had no luck.

    gd installs just fine—but it seems to be the same gd I can get from apt-get with no filtering or rotation.


    In my sources.list “backports” and “partner” are commented out—(and the cd itself) and that's it.

    php5-gd_5.2.10.dfsg.1-2ubuntu6.1_i386.deb which is slightly different from the instructions

    I’m not sure where I went wrong.


    Ideas?

    Nevermind, I'm dumb.

    If you have problems...read the WHOLE tutorial... Including the part that says:

    Code:
    BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH
    That really says, change a line in the debian/rules document.
