I have a problem with sending email messages with Squirrel Mail. I get the following error. Transaction failed Server replied: 554 5.7.1 <[email protected]>: Relay access denied When I look at the maillog I see the the domain in the from address is "example.com" that is surely the problem but I don't know where to go to fix it. As always any help would be greatly appreciated. Randy
You can set the sender address under options when you are logged into squirrelmail. But I guess the problem is that your server does not allow relaying from localhost. Make sure that you have the following setting in the postfix main.cf file: mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8
I am having the same problem with squirrelmail. I've been looking over the forum but cant find my exact problem with SquirrelMail 1.4.17 I have mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8 I am using OpenSuse 11.1 and ISPConfig 3. I also am having problems with thunderbird. The email will send from my ispconfig email account but it is not delivered to the remote account. Thanks.

I am not sure though. If this is the case, should I sign up for mail relaying server through another company?
Has anyone else had this problem with yahoo and opensuse or am I the first? If I use another relay server, what I just need to redo the relay server config info for post fix as described here: http://www.howtoforge.com/postfix_relaying_through_another_mailserver
