I'm using a gmail mail ([email protected]) to relay my email([email protected]) from ispconfig webmail interface. When I send an email to a gmail mail through the gmail server, the "from" address from the recipient inbox seems to came from my gmail account([email protected]) and not from [email protected]. How do I change the "from" email address so it looks like it came from my domain?

Google does that with all mail that is sent through them, the from address gets rewritten to the address you used to authenticate.

I dont see how you can alter that, short of asking google not to rewrite.

After several hours, I realized that I can use the email given by my ISP to relay all the email from my domain. The "from" address doesn't changed even after relaying through another mail server. Now it looks more reliable. Thanks anyway :)
