Using NX server with client and node installed on a remote server with debian 4. Local pc running XP with NX client.

When connecting to it using NX client on local machine it goes thru all the protocols, connects to the server, autherizes, loads desktop enviroment and even brings up a window as if all was going to load up, but after 6/7 secs it closes down and an error box popps up:

"The connection with the remote server was shutdown
Please check the state of your network connection."

Is there anything in particular I can look at to see whats going wrong.

Authentication must be ok, its logging into the server ok, it must be some other service which is closing it down?

Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciatted.

Did you disable the Windows firewall? I've more than once experienced that this "firewall" behaves in an unpredictable way...
