Sorry if this question sounds silly,
Using the tutorial for setup ispcong3.1 on Ubuntu 16.04, their are a few stages where ssl certifcates are generated, no problem.
And at the end of the tutorial I am left at the login screen of ispconfig, now I see that the control panel is using the Self Signed certificate but how can I change this to use a CA signed version? this is also confusing to me because it is an IP address using the Self Signed certificate and not a domain.
should the tutorial have setup the fqdn (server1.example.com) has the home/login ispconfig address in-order to use a CA signed ssl or can it be done with an IP only just like the Self Signed SSL certificates?
sorry I don't understand how this is meant to work.
    please advise
    Phillip
