    Hi,
I'm not sure if this is a matter of needing to wait a bit longer for changes to propagate but I've pointed my NS records to look at my ISPconfig 3 server and after 48 hours noting is resolving.

If I try an nslookup from a client that points to a different nfs server the lookups fail:-

but if I change the server to be the hetzner.de based ISPconfig one - the lookups work
I feel that everything is in place but as time creeps on I'm not so sure

    Thanks
    Paul

Please check your DNS server by executing this command on the shell:

    dig @localhost ositweb.com

    Hi Till,

Thanks for your reply, The problems solved now. I think it has something to do with the ns or soa record needing to also resolve to the PTR record. When I changed the nameserver to one that is resolvable both ways it kicked into life
