I'm setting up a dev server and have almost no idea of what I'm doing. But I'm determined to learn! As an admin, I setup a reseller with an account that does not allow Shell Access. However, as a reseller, it seems I can over-ride that setting and allow my clients to have Shell access (at least according to the menu options). Shouldn't these types of settings propogate downwards through the heirarchy? Cheers, Nap
You can override this setting when you are logged in as admin but not when you are logged in as reseller.
till, I haven't tested the function to see if it was actually available, but when I am logged in as a reseller, I can tick the box next to shell access for the client's site. I know I'm new to this and perhaps am not understanding what's actually going on, but in my opinion it's misleading given your explaination. Cheers, Nap
