The fsck checks are nescessary from time to time. On most linux distributions you can abort them during boot on the console. Better use Ext3 as filsystem, it is a journaling filesystem that does not need the regular fsck checks.
EXT 2 to EXT3 pls send the procedure for change EXT2 to EXT3 but we have a live server and lot of configurations there. I want to convert file system but do not format any partition. and lost. can it is possible. Regards. Qavi

It might be possible to change the filesystem with cfdisk without losing data. But do this at your own risk, I cannot guarantee that it will work!
