Hi, Im new to linux but, Im looking for something similar to that,I setup a couple of how to's with success. What I would like to do is a bit different but want to know if this how to would accomplish the same thing. My friends and I have a small company, we have a domain name registerd and our isp is hosting our mail server, what I would like to is have a server on which all the mail will downloaded to from our isp then distributed to us,then all local mail to go through this server istead of going through the internet even when sending mail locally,at the moment if thers no internet then we can't send mail locally. Please advise on the best howto that would help me archive this, bearing in mind hat Im new to linux

Did you tell your local mail server that it's responsible for your local mails? If you didn't configure it that way, then it will try to pass on the mails to another mail server.
