Right Answers at end of install ispconfig

I am presented with these questions:

Please enter the host name: E.g. www
Please enter the domain: E.g. xyz.de
Please select the protocol (http or https (SSL encryption)) to use to access the ISPConfig system: If you want to use your control panel with SSL, select 1. You can then access it under https://www.xyz.de:81. If you want to access it under http://www.xyz.de:81, choose 2.

My question is what to answer.

1. For Host name should i put www? When i set up the server and i was asked for host name i typed redriver.linux.com (just made up something).

2. Domain? Should I use a real domain that i own?

3. What to choose on the https or http question?

The server's hostname is one of the first things to set on a computer which will be a server.If You've followed a howto then You probbably already have this set up.When ISPConfig's installer asks for hostname and domain name,You can enter the same information.It doesn't have to be the domain that You bought but it could be.It's a good habit to enter the domain name of Your main site.
You can log in to ISPConfig using the address http://domain.pl/ or https://domain.pl/. The https protocol is encrypted while plain http is not.

 

would the www indicate that it is a live domain?

The www, would it not have to be a domain that is real?

also: host name... is that my redriver.linux.com or what and what is the difference from hostname and domain name...sorry for question but i am rookie...


UPDATE....i put in www and was waiting on response ...then went to wrong keyboard and entered....so www is the host name now....help anyone that can....
