Projektfarm is also running this site (HowtoForge). BTW: ISPConfig is released under the BSD license, so anyone can take it and do with it whatever he wants.
I'am not a fan of the GPL license as it restricts developers in the way they use the code. In my opinion the GPL is more a political license and I believe in real freedom of source code and this is what the bsd license represents.
well, the issue I have with BSD is that it allows an opensource licence to be turned into a proprietary one.
