When looking through the logs, I noticed that the RKHunter-Log shows some errors. Code: Performing file properties checks /usr/bin/awk [ Warning ] /usr/bin/GET [ Warning ] /usr/bin/sudo [ Warning ] /usr/bin/gawk [ Warning ] /usr/bin/lwp-request [ Warning ] /usr/sbin/unhide [ Warning ] /usr/sbin/unhide-linux26 [ Warning ] Code: Checking application versions... Checking version of GnuPG [ Warning ] Checking version of OpenSSL [ Warning ] Checking version of PHP [ Warning ] Checking version of OpenSSH [ Warning ] Code: System checks summary ===================== Suspect files: 7 Suspect applications: 4 On all of the files I performed a locate, and they do exist and are updated to the latest versions. The applications are apparently not installed so I guess I can forget those. Are any of these errors anything I should worry about?
You can probably ignore these warnings. I guess this happens because those files/applications got updated, and rkhunter is still using the old MD5 hashes.
