I'm newbie using linux. I have a server running Linux Network Security Toolkit (NST v2.15.0). Lately, I encountered several problems such as a network analyzer which is running stops very frequently and I can't delete users from /etc/passwd (userdel: cannot lock /etc/passwd). My rootfs is full. Could these problems be related to the fact that rootfs is full? How can I free space?

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
    rootfs 50G 50G 0 100% /
    udev 1.5G 4.0K 1.5G 1% /dev
    tmpfs 1.5G 0 1.5G 0% /dev/shm
    tmpfs 1.5G 636K 1.5G 1% /run
    /dev/mapper/vg_probe-lv_root
    50G 50G 0 100% /
    tmpfs 1.5G 0 1.5G 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
    tmpfs 1.5G 0 1.5G 0% /media
    /dev/sda1 497M 91M 382M 20% /boot
    /dev/mapper/vg_probe-lv_home
    243G 32G 199G 14% /home

    Thanks.

You can try to delete some older log files in /var/log/ folder.
