So the plugins seem to go well until I tried to do something in the options/Account area
    Get the above error
checked the FAQ and it says wget the capem from curl, did that
then says edit the php.ini for path to new pem, which php.ini?

    Jim..
    PS: not a uer/pwd issue

If not a user/pwd issue then there's not much left other than a firewall issue.

Do you use a self-signed SSL certificate or have another SSL certificate mismatch, maybe?

Shouldn't be firewall, roundcube (webmail) should be talking to mx1 via local network & not back outside of network, that's why we have the big hosts file

I have a new LE certificate for webmail.mycompanya.net
I'm thinking maybe in the roundcube setup there was a edit to change the tls smtp stuff to full mx1.mycompany.net etc. perhaps if I shortened those to just mx1 it would force communications to use local network

it's a no go, still getting Soap Error: Could not connect to host, Checked the ISPC/System/Firewall and all ports/servers are as per How to.. are open
Ping ip, hostname, fqdn all respond with proper internal ip
nslookup hostname or fqdn also responds with proper internal ip

Have you tried a simple telnet?
To see if you can connect at all.

telent mx1 etc port 22/80/443 good, not sure if there's another port to test

Port 8080 TCP, unless you run ISPConfig GUI on a different port. And Roundcube ISPConfig plugin connects to your ISPConfig GUI (master server, which is not necessarily your Mailserver).
