Hi everyone, I have an ISPConfig mail server, where : https://mail.mailserver.com:8080 is encrypted with Letsencrypt and showing the padlock. However when I go to : https://mail.mailserver.com/webmail SSL is not enabled. How do I enable SSL for the webmail interface with roundcube ? Thanks in advance, Richard
It depends on whether you have vhost for that and whether your enabled SSL in that vhost. ISPConfig has apps.vhost that you can use with port 8081 with SSL if you turn it on.
Hi Ahrasis, Thanks for your response. It was years ago I made this ISPConfig. apps.vhost points to /var/www/apps - which is empty. In /etc/httd/conf.d is roundcubemail.conf which points to /usr/share/roundcube and an alias to /webmail for it. I didn't mention this is is a Centos box. (7.9.2009)
That is no problem. To open a site you always need a vhost for it. Try other websites in your server with /webmail and I think that should work fine since each has their own vhost. The question is, do you have vhost for mail.mailserver.com?
Hi Ahrasis, No, there is no vhost for roundcube. the only appearance of 'webmail' - is in roundcubemail.conf.
Yes. I know that. You didn't get https://mail.mailserver.com/webmail as secured is because you don't have a vhost for it that enabled SSL.
