Hi there, due to pcidss issues i was wondering what is the easiest way to start/stop ispconfig 3 on demand (i.e. only when i want to make a change to my server). This was easily done in ispconfig2 by calling the startup script ? In ispconfig3 ? Looking forward to your reply. Kind Regards. P.S. i realize this can be done via the firewall but i would like a simpler solution.
ISPConfig 3 is no dameon, so it neither has nor can be started on demand without staopping apache / nginx on the server.
Thanks for the reply. so what if i rename sites-enabled/000-ispconfig.vhost to 000-ispconfig.vhost.bk and restart apache. Will this do , or do i need an extra action ?
Renaming will not work. But you can delete that symlink and recreate it in case that you want to use ispconfug again.
