Hi Guys, Whenever I install ebox I lose apt-update and apt-get communication, although wget works and before ebox install it worked. I have tried stopping ebox, opening up port 21 in ebox, and a fresh install. :s I installed falcos vm image and it works flawlessly, I can't see where I went wrong. I would love to know the cause for future reference. Mike
Ah ok, Falcos vm image had all sources set as http://, set my nz sources to http://ftp.... and they worked. Must be something with ebox iproute blocking non standard services.
Maybe your firewall doesn't allow FTP connections, or debian.ihug.co.nz offers its service only on port 80 (http), not 21 (ftp).
Ebox Yeah ebox 0.71 only alters iptables for a certain chain - output i think. It was stopping me running openvpn as well, I gave up and set up CUPS with web interface. Cheers Mike

Did you remove Code: deb http://ebox-platform.com/debian/stable/ ebox/ deb http://ebox-platform.com/debian/stable/ extra/ from your sources.list again? These lines must be in there, and then you must run Code: apt-get update
hi all, here is my solution: i installed debian 3.1r4 and i update from ebox 0.7.1 installer cd now system is operational but it does not support for turkish thank you very much for your interest. best regards.
