    Hello,

For My backups i want to use an S3 storage...

    USer@Server12345:/usr/src/fuse-2.9.3# modprobe fuse
modprobe: ERROR: ../libkmod/libkmod.c:557 kmod_search_moddep() could not open moddep file '/lib/modules/3.14.32-xxxx-grs-ipv6-64/modules.dep.bin'

The server I rent is an dedicated server, located in RBX (OVH)

I got the error while following the following tutorial...
    http://tecadmin.net/mount-s3-bucket-centosrhel-ubuntu-using-s3fs/

Do i even need to install this fuse (atleast the one from the zip?? will the one from ubuntu repository suffice?)

    cheers...

It looks like the directions you are following are recommending to compile FUSE from source to get the latest version. I do not know if there is a specific reason for that or not.

Were you logged in as root when running the modprobe fuse?
Can you verify the modules.dep.bin file exists?
